As part of my college coursework, I designed and prototyped an innovative app tailored for dog owners and trainers. This app bridges the gap between exercise tracking apps for humans and data collection tools for dog training, enabling users to record the time it takes their dogs to respond to commands.
The app is designed to:
-Record Response Times: Measure how long your dog can complete a command after being given one.
-Enhance Training: Provide insights into training effectiveness and progress over time.
-Seamless Interaction: Trainers can use their phones or integrate with a physical clicker or wearable device, allowing users to start and stop recording with a simple press.
Features and Functionality:
-Intuitive Timer: Users can start the timer when giving a command and stop it when the dog responds.
-Data Collection: Save and analyze response times for specific commands, building a progress profile for each dog.
-Wearable Clicker Integration: I also designed a wearable or handheld device that serves as a traditional training clicker with added timing functionality, making the app hands-free and trainer-friendly.
